From early beginnings in the 1920`s when meetings were held in a cafe` on Manchester Road, Wilton Allotments have become a thriving community of people eager to grow fresh fruit and vegetables for the family .
The Site consists of 130 plots growing a wide variety of fruit, vegetables and flowers also incorporating the Denton Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society who have won prizes world wide for the Chrysanthemum they grow,
We have a community hut and Trading shop which is open Sunday mornings offering a wide range of items from fresh eggs to plant food, weed killer and many other necessities for the gardener. It is also a place where advice can be sought and idea`s shared.
We sometimes have plots available genuine enthusiastic plot holders are welcome, Newcomers as well as experienced gardeners, We would like people who  are prepared to give a little time to committee matters as well as growing.
We are situated off the A57 Manchester Road, Denton,, opposite The Wilton Garage, Enquires Sunday Morning at the Society Shop, 08-30 to 12-00. or by phone 07922113669 during the same hours.
